Please. Am I confused? Am I sick?

Have you experienced being confused? I guess it’s normal to be in such situation when both of the choices to choose from are indeed significant, but you only have a chance of choosing. Sometimes, we cannot help but feel hopeless when we cannot decide. We feel weak, pathetic and undependable.

The reasons of confusion vary from person to person. But when we are confused there are two common denominators among us,

1) We are sandwiched between or among choices or situations.
2) We are disturbed by the limitation of time when decision shall be made.

In general view, confusion can be very risky specially if it happens every now and then. It really complicates our lives. Based on the study from calm clinic, confusion may even be a specific symptom of anxiety. In this case, we shall be very conscious about it.
Confusion may be defined in several different ways, and each way may have its own causes:

A. General Forgetfulness – We are troubled on paying enough attention on things or keeping track on something that’s going on. One of the reasons is because of the stress hormone called as “cortisol”. This hormone plays a role in memory loss.

     B. Depersonalization/Derealization – “Severe stress and anxiety – especially during anxiety attacks and through extensive and severe stress responses – can also cause two issues known as depersonalization or derealization. These are when you suddenly feel like you're in a dreamlike state, or that reality isn't really reality. This can cause significant confusion, although the mind tends to have no idea what's going on. Depersonalization is a coping mechanism when your brain is too overwhelmed by stress. Nearly everyone snaps out of the confusion after a while, but it can be stressful when it occurs.”

       C.  Confusion Over Anxiety – This is probably the common to most of us. Many times, we are not really aware on the reasons why we are anxious. “Some with generalized anxiety disorder, for example, feel constantly on edge but have no idea why they feel that way, leading to anxious confusion that can actually make their anxieties worse.”
Confusion will always be in hand if we have anxiety. We mostly not acknowledging that we have anxiety because it means negatively to many.
I would suggest to be always conscious in detecting if you have anxiety. Early discovery would help us to decrease our stress and help us to be more attentive in everything.

As early as now, detect if you have anxiety!
